All AYFL Tackle and Cheer coaches are volunteers who give their time and energy to ensure that the experience our players and cheerleaders have will be positive learning experiences, and a lot of fun.
Starting with the 2008 season, all coaches (including any assistants) MUST be certified through the USA Football Certification Program. All certifications must be completed before the first tryouts in June. The certification will be completed on line, and coaches can access the site and register for the certification by visiting the USA Football site. The link to the actual registration page is https://www.usafootball.com/users/register_admin. Coaches are also subject to a background check, and must be willing to provide personal information to allow for that check to occur.
If you are interested in coaching Tackle Football or Cheer for AYFL during the 2008 season, you need to register at www.sportability.com/ayfl.
The AYFL Board is currently going through the interview process for prospective candidates, and will continue to announce team assignments for the 2008 season until all coaching vacancies have been filled.
